The APRIL cup is manufactured from titanium alloy (Ti6Al4V) designed to receive solid truncated conical delta ceramic insert. The geometric shape of the cup is a 180? hemisphere with a flattened polar zone. The cup is designed to offer a progressive circumferential thickening over half of its surface, reaching peak thickness at the level of the equatorial collar. Launched in the UK in December 2006 and available in sizes 40mm- 70mm in 2mm increments, accommodating a 36mm articulation from 52mm upwards.
